Up and Away Wall Hanging Class
In this class, you will be able to create a stunning wall hanging. Constructing the sharp
angles of the balloon envelope is completely doable with Foundation Paper Piecing.
Not a fan of Foundation Paper Piecing? This is entirely appropriate for Freezer Paper
Piecing- no ripping paper out later. You can also use a stabilizer such as Fun-Dation
which doesn’t need to be removed.
Up and Away is perfect for those who have had some practice with paper piecing. If
you are new to this technique, please sign up for our Beginner Potholder Class first.
We will work on this mini quilt in 2 class sessions. In the first class we will begin piecing
the balloon using a special (but not very difficult) technique. You will complete piecing
the foundations at home. The second class will be dedicated to putting it all together.
After you register for the class, you will receive a checklist to prepare for the first
session. Please read carefully and allow yourself some time to get it all together!
