Color Quilting Workshop
Who doesn’t enjoy selecting fabrics when starting a quilt? It’s one of the best parts! But where to start? Color in Quilting is a class and workshop designed to demystify the complexities of color, making it fun and easy! Learn what makes a quilt work from a color perspective, including the fundamentals of color, color families, how to select colors, basic color theory, and other great color tips and tricks.
Color in Quilting starts with a presentation on the basics of color, followed by a hands-on workshop to help you develop color confidence. Come ready to play with fabric, have fun and enjoy yourself.
Come to the Color in Quilting class and workshop on September 7, 2024 at 1:00 pm at The Village Quilt Shoppe.
The Color in Quilting class and workshop utilizes the 3 in 1 Color Tool by Joen Wolfrom (CT Publishing). If you have the 3 in 1 Color Tool, bring it with you. If you do not have the 3 in 1 Color Tool, The Village Quilt Shoppe will have some available for purchase.
What to bring?: 1) your color tool, 2) a bag of fabric scraps with a nice range of colors, 3) a fabric/craft glue stick, and 4) a pair of shears.

Instructor Bio: | About the Instructors: Chris Resig has been quilting for more than 20 years. Chris is an architect and enjoys quilting as a creative medium when not designing buildings for his clients. He enjoys how the use of color, texture, and pattern creates so many layers of interest in the art of quilting. Chris has received recognition for his quilts including the Best Beginning Quilter (Vermont Quilt Festival, 2001). Everything Chris knows about quilting he learned from his wife, Sue. Sue Resig has been quilting for more than 40 years. Sue’s love of sewing was fostered by sewing with her grandmother and mother around the kitchen table more than 60 years ago. She enjoys quilting and its range of expressions from traditional to contemporary, and the happiness quilts bring when gifted to others. Sue has received recognition for her quilts (Vermont Quilt Festival, 2001 & 2002). As husband and wife, Chris and Sue enjoy working on quilts together or separately. |
